If you have a check mailed, you can expect your monthly benefit payment approximately 14 days after you verify your enrollment. If you have your benefits sent to a direct deposit account, you can expect your payment within 7-10 business days of verifying your school attendance.
If you do not receive your payment within this timeframe, please contact VA to confirm that payment has been issued. You can contact us using the "Ask a Question" tab on our web site (in the Questions and Answers section) or by calling 1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551).
NOTE: If you haven't received a check that was issued, you must wait at least three weeks from the original check issue date to request a replacement. Once the three week period has passed, please call an Education Case Manager at 1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551) to assist you in getting another check. This process could take up to 6 weeks.
